About Dr. Paul
Dr. Paul Violanti has been a practice partner with Jericho Road Community Health Center (JRCHC) since 2001. He has also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the Patricia H. H. Garman School of Nursing at D’Youville University since 2000.
Dr. Violanti has been a registered nurse for nearly 35 years, and a Nurse Practitioner dually certified in Family Health and Pediatrics for over 25 years.
At Jericho Road, Dr. Violanti is a founding board member of Jericho Road Ministry, the governing entity of JRCHC, and has served as Director of Global Health Programs since its inception more than 18 years ago. In this role, he helped establish three medical clinics in under-resourced regions of Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nepal.
In addition to educating health professionals in the classroom, Dr. Violanti actively precepts students in his Buffalo-based practice and leads students and other healthcare professionals on short-term international medical trips. He has participated in over 30 medical trips to under-resourced / post-war countries worldwide, including Mexico, Thailand, Cambodia, Nicaragua, the Philippines, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nepal.
Education
Dr. Violanti earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his post-master’s certification and Doctorate degree at D’Youville University.
